Absolutely. It would be packed day & night. It is surprising that Lefrak has not tried to lease to a diner. Then again.....

I don't think a 24hr diner is healthy for this neighborhood. But it would be nice to have a diner.

May I assume it is diner food you find unhealthy? If so, that is a matter of personal choice.
Or is it that a 24 hr establishment would interfere with resident's sleep habits?

Let me clarify an important point about the prospective Newport Diner; it will not necessarily be open 24 hours a day but we would want it opened late nite. One of its central purposes would be as an end of the evening place for Newporters and downtown Jersey City residents to stop by on their way home, particularly, on weekend nites after a nite out in the City or Jersey City. So for those concerned about a diner being opened 24 hours a day, that may not be the case.

I think that I would use a diner between one a month and once a week. Regardless having an available diner 24 hours a day can only be helpful as there is currently a 24-hour deli, Fresca, across the street from the PATH station.

I will go for Once in a week.
